One year ago, I wrote my first post (October 6th 2010).
In 12 months, I think I have made great progress in my English writing skills.
Like a lot of you may know, English is not my first language and every time I write a new post, I have to switch from my French mind to my English mind!!! It's sometimes hard to find the right word when I have a French word in mind! This is not always easy people!!! I know that I do grammar errors and that my English is far from perfect but I'm happy to be able to communicate in an other language!
Reading blogs and writing my own have help me improve my English skills! (As well as watching English TV shows) I have learned new words and new expressions that I have never heard before (well, we didn't learn those in English classes!)!
I have the chance to be able to speak/understand/read/write two languages, isn't amazing?!?! I know that's not everyone who gets that chance!!! I am proud of that!

Congratulations! That goes double for your language skills! I've been in Spain for over 12 years, so I know what you mean when you're thinking of a word in one language and just can't find the right translation - it happens to me a lot!
