I don't think so!!!

We have had that cheap BBQ (only $89) for the past 3 years and despite 3 snowy winters, it's not broken yet! It was definitely a good investment ha! I hope that in the spring, it will work!

Thoughts on Tuesday!

• It's official: my boyfriend will pursue a MBA this semester! He got in! And he will also be working full-time at the same time! He got his bachelor degree in engineering almost 4 years ago, it's weird to think of him as a student again!

• The past few days were very very cold! 

• Gingerbread Spice Tea is my new favorite thing!

• Jillian Michaels is back in my life and she is kicking my butt!

• I can't help but judge some people sometimes. Sorry. 

• All I want to do today is to stay in bed and hide from the world. 

• I have received an unexpected amount of money yesterday and it totally made my day!

• My grandma is 87 and she knows all about Facebook and Twitter. I'm shocked.

• I got my hair done about 6 weeks ago and my roots are already horrible. My hair grows so fast! #whitegirlproblem

• It's only January and we have so much snow! I have shoveled for an hour this morning to get the car out of the parking! Take a look at our backyard:

Any random thoughts to share?

At 6:30 this morning...

I was outside shoveling a lot of snow!!! It snowed a lot over the night (about 35 cm) and it's still snowing right now! I have shoveled for an hour and a hour later, you can't tell I have done anything! Crazy! I guess I don't need to workout today, shoveling is a real workout, my arms are so sore! It really feels like winter!

This week is a short week because on Thursday, after lunch, we are heading to Québec city for the weekend! My boyfriend has an appointment for a MRI in a private clinic on Friday and this is why we are going to Québec. Here, getting an appointment for a MRI at the local hospital takes about 6-8 months (though it's free, thank you Canada health system)! Because he is going to a private clinic (it took him only one week to book an appointment there!), he will have to pay for the MRI, but insurance will pay back 75% of the cost! So that's not too bad! We will be staying at his cousin's house and we are also going to do a lot of shopping! I really miss those big malls!!!

So, this is our Menu for this week, we are keeping it pretty simple:

Monday: Tacos
Tuesday: Spaghetti and salad
Wednesday: Spring rolls and chinese noodles
Thursday: Subway (on the road)
Friday: Surprise meal at B's cousin

We were alone in the woods (well, we felt alone!) and everything was so calm,

there was only the sound of our snowshoes in the snow!

Miscellany Monday!

One

Today was one of the coolest day of the winter so far!

It was freezing outside, with the wind, about -35!!! (Celcius of course!). 

Pretty cold bbbrrrr!!! My jacket, my boots, my gloves and my scarf 

are keeping me really warm!

Two

It was a good day at work and someone brought cookies and candies for

all the staff! (about 75 people) I love it!

Three

I finally got the lamp I  wanted! And guess what?

My boyfriend LOVED it! (It's his own words!)

And another awesome thing is that I also bought a similar lamp, 

but taller than the one I showed you!!!

I have now the matching set and 

our living room will look great, I'm sure!

Four

Did I tell you that my boyfriend is coming to see me this weekend?!?

Yes, he is!!! He is flying to Québec Friday at noon! I'm so happy!

Five

I woke up earlier today to do the 30 Day Shred!

And the most surprising thing is that I will do it again tonight, 

I just feel so good after that! Am I crazy?!

The week is started!!!

Christmas Recap... A Week Later!

My Christmas Eve and my Christmas Day were great!

On Christmas Eve, my mom and I baked almost all day long! We did some great desserts and yummy appetizers for the evening! The house smelled really good! I love to cook with my mom, she's the best!!!

During the afternoon, my family and I watched our favorite movie, Christmas Vacation, of course! I just love this movie, it's a classic!

At 6h00pm, my boyfriend arrived to my house for the evening. We were only 5 (my mom, my dad, me, my boyfriend and my younger brother.

We drank some wine and some champagne and had the appetizers we made. We laughed a lot and it was great. We opened gifts around 9h30pm. I got a lot of great things!

On Christmas Day, my boyfriend and I went in the forest outside the city for a ride in snowshoes! The landscapes were amazing! I love winter!!! We are supposed to do it again in some days!

 Here I am on that cold but beautiful day!

First snow!!!

When I woke up this morning, there was snow all over the ground and it was still snowing! I just love the first snow of the season, there is something magical about it! Big snowflakes are so beautiful! I can't wait to put  on my snowshoes and go for a ride in the woods!
