Friday Confessions!

• I confess that I need Spring to get here! I'm tired of winter and snow! So far, we have had about 280 cm (110 inches) of snow! Not a record for us but it is still a lot! And it's still so cold out there!

• I confess that I want to buy every single nail polish I see on the internet. Too much choices!

• I confess that I'm so proud that the surprise party for my boyfriend turned out so well!

• I confess that coffee is like my best friend. 

• I confess that I don't like the way my hair looks right now. I had a hair appointment 2 weeks ago and my hairdresser didn't do my highlights the way I had expected her to do! 

• I confess that I still watch One Tree Hill and I enjoy it!

• I confess that I think time flies too fast, way too fast! How comes it is already mid-March?!?! Please time, slow down!!!

Surprise Party!

Saturday night, I threw a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend! I was planning that party for a month!!! I wanted to celebrate his 30th birthday with his friends! We were about 17-18 people!

The party was held at his parents house. His mom called him around 6:45 pm and told him that they were having some water damage in their house and she told him to come help them quick! We arrived at the house, opened the door and everybody screamed SURPRISE! Of course there was not any water damage!

My boyfriend was SO surprised, he didn't expect that party at all! 

We ate a lot of good food (including my homemade guacamole that is to die for!) and we ate a great cake that I baked, a chocolate-coffee cake that was YUMMY! Of course, there was a lot of alcohol ha! My boyfriend received many gifts from his friends and he was so happy!

He received champagne, wine, rum, tequila, porto, whisky, etc. You can see that he loves alcohol haha!!!

We came back home around 2:00 am and I was exhausted!

It was definitely a great night and he was really happy that I threw him a surprise party like that with his friends!!! He was really touched!!! Planning everything was definitely a lot of work for me but totally worth it!

We went grocery shopping Sunday afternoon and we got a lot of food! We are good for at least 2 weeks! I'm really looking forward to this week menu because I enjoy those meals!

The big 3-0!

Dear Boyfriend,

Today, you are turning the big 3-0. 

We met when you were only 20 (and I was only 17!), on that chilly day of August 2002. 

That's a decade! I have known you for a third of your life, can you believe it?!

Time does fly by. But some things don't change. 

You entered my life back then and I knew right away that you were special.

We were so young and we went through a lot of things, including 6 years of long distance relationship.

But here we are, almost 10 years later, still together. Stronger. 

We are each other's best friend, the driving force behind one another. 

You are the yin to my yang.
You are the answer to my question.

You are the love of my life.

You mean the world to me. 

I'm looking forward to many, many, many more birthdays and years with you.

Random Thursday!

• I finally booked an appointment to get my hair done! This afternoon, I'm going to get beautified! Hair cut and highlights! I have not been to the hairdresser in more than 3 months (13 weeks exactly!), you bet that my roots are totally showing! 

• My boyfriend is turning the big 30 next Wednesday! And I'm throwing him a surprise party next Saturday! (Don't worry, he doesn't read my blog! I bet he even doesn't remember I told him I had a blog!)

• I have sent out 4 resumes this week! Please someone call me!

• My life is boring. Well, this is what I think.

• I don't have any plans for the weekend. Probably the usual: cleaning and grocery shopping. I told you my life was boring.

• I want to travel. I'm jealous of friends that are going to trips like 4-5 times/year. And I'm talking about big trips, like Europe, South America, etc. The last time I want outside the country was almost 3 years ago when we went for a weekend in New York City. We did go to Ottawa (in Ontario) 2 years ago but I want to get out of the country! I need a real vacation.
